1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website and renting equipment from Purple Apple Store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Account Registration and Verification

To rent equipment, you must register for an account and complete our verification process. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and verification. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.

3. Booking and Rental Period

• Bookings are subject to equipment availability and approval by our staff.
• The rental period begins on the agreed pickup/delivery date and time, and ends on the agreed return date and time.
• Late returns will incur additional daily rental charges and may negatively impact your Reliability Score.

4. Payments and Deposits

Full payment of the rental fee is required to confirm a booking. A refundable security deposit may also be required before equipment is handed over. The deposit amount is determined based on the equipment value and your Reliability Score. Deposits are refunded upon the safe and timely return of the equipment.

5. Equipment Care and Liability

• You agree to treat all rented equipment with the utmost care and use it only for its intended purpose.
• You assume full responsibility and liability for the equipment from the time of handover until it is returned and inspected by our staff.
• In the event of damage, loss, or theft, you agree to cover the full repair or replacement cost. Such costs will first be deducted from your security deposit, and you will be billed for any remaining balance.

6. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 48 hours prior to the start of the rental period will receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee. Please refer to our dedicated Cancellation Policy page for full details.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
